So here I am, hamming it up in front of the camera, again. I spent the weekend running around gathering supplies so that I could get some test shots done and then start shooting footage today for a contest that ends, um Wednesday-ish. So I better get crackin’.

I love it when a plan comes together! When I was working in the online training field I helped to create a course on entrepreneurism. In this course, the key to success was to find that thing that you love to do and find a way to get paid for it. If you love Legos, and you love making ships and having battles with them, but you’re frustrated with their lack of proper weaponry MAKE YOUR OWN! That’s the key to Brickarms. Go over to their site and check out some of the wonder weapons and accessories for you Lego adventures. Here’s a few of my favorites.

This same principle was applied by my friend Mark with his company making accessories for action figures and dioramas. You can see his work at Build-A-Rama.

Speaking of animated Star Wars:Clone Wars Lego goodness… Tonight at 9:00 on the Cartoon Network is the Premiere of “Lego Star Wars: The Quest for R2-D2″. In conjunction with this television premiere is a new mini-site and game. They’ve released the first level of the game to promote it’s full launch this month (probably timed with tonight’s premiere). You can play the game here. The video below shows some of the game footage. *note* the video doesn’t have any sound.

Lego Universe is a massive multiplayer online game where you can use bricks to collaboratively build your world. The adventures go through all the Lego themes like Space and City themes, as well as Pirates and Ninjas. Here’s a trailer for the game.
Here is a video by Lego Universe developer NetDevil. After creating the game tools, the game is now in the world design stage, where advanced Lego users are helping NetDevil to create the actual worlds.

I have found some interesting Lego information recently and I thought I would dedicate the day to all things Lego. We’ll start out with a Lego Stop-motion Video. As a tribute to the Commodore 64 and NES games like International Karate, Tetris, Super Mario Bros., Pac-Man and Pong, Thomas Redigh and Daniel Larsson spent 1,500 hours making this Lego pixel animation.

I haven’t heard any final numbers yet on the charity event for the Make-A-Wish foundation, but I am pleased that people liked my Mighty Mugg enough to bid on it. After 23 bids, Aayla Secura was won by “mattobot” for $300.00. Thank you Mattobot.
My Mighty Mugg was also profiled on StarWars.com and the interview can be found here.

Here are some images from a newly completed Shadow Box Commission. This one-of-a-kind piece of art is made of hand drawn illustrations and backgrounds composited onto individual pieces of acrylic in a 2.5″ deep shadow box. They sell for $300.
