Hey Cory did we sing it right?

I wrote before about the A capella tribute to John Williams  LIP SYNCED by Corey Vidal.  I researched the song a bit and found out that the band responsible for the song that Corey was getting all of the credit for is called Moosebutter.  They premiered this Star Wars song in May of 1999. It was arranged by Josh Slagowski and Bryant Smith, and Tim Jones did some re-arrange edits later. It was recorded in 2000 on moosebutter’s original self-titled cd and again in 2002 for the cd see dee. moosebutter has been performing the song in live shows since 1999.  You can hear at the end of the song they talk about standing in line to go see Episode III.  Well they all got together and made a new version recorded live in a studio.  Four cameras and mics and ONE TAKE!!!  Well done gents.  Let’s give credit where credit is due and link this one all over the place.  Listen to the end where they make a plea for episode VII then decide to settle for the Clone Wars cartoons.  :D

Moosebutter is awesome! I’ve performed with them many times and they are very funny if you get a chance to see them live. My group, Octappella, is offering a free mp3 download if you go to the website - http://www.octappella.com

LOL…every girls dream! No, not exactly. It would just be so much fun singing and recording silly songs…that are technically hard. My brother recorded a CD of my sisters and I singing Hymns, and we had a BLAST doing it (probably spent more time laughing and talking than actual singing). It would just be that much more fun doing all the silly stuff. Sisters can be CRAZY!!!
