I have received some artist proof cards after working on the sketch card sets for Marvel Masterpieces Set II & III. I haven’t decided what to do on each one of these cards so I am open for suggestions. The cards are available as a commission. Here’s one of the first ones I’ve done.

I won the Burt Reynolds Edition Trans Am in December and had it delivered in January. Part of prize along with winning the car was some cash to help with the Taxes. The car was delivered on Jan. 4th and then I was laid of on Jan. 11th. Good thing I had some money in the bank. Perfect timing.
I found a 3 month contract job doing similar work at a similar pay. Near the end of that contract I was asked if I was interested in doing a print for Celbration Japan. The Contract ended early and I was able to work on the print. Perfect timing.
I went straight from Japan to the San Diego Comic Con. Someone had not been able to make it to be in the Artist Alley so I was able to sit down an show off more of my work and meet lots of people. Perfect timing.
We put the kids to bed, called our neighbor, went to the hospital, had the baby, I came home and was able to get the kids ready for school. Perfect timing.
I have had steady contract work but things started to slow down a bit. We started to wonder if we have bought a house too big for our needs. Then my sister-in-law and her SIX boys needed a place to stay for awhile. They moved from Indiana to stay with me, my wife and our six kids. We are now known as the B’15s and our house is run like a flying fortress. We have space for everybody and we’re reasonably sane. I got an email to do some more work and the contracts have started up again. Perfect timing.
We found a great deal on a freezer from Craig’s List. We got the freezer a little while back and then our ice dispenser on the fridge started acting funny. We reached in manually to get some ice for the kids cups to go to bed and it was a pretty melted. We were able to transfer all of the freezer items to the new freezer (except some of the ice cream :D) and then bought some ice to put in the fridge then went to Sears. We found last year’s model on discount and I think we’re going to get it. Perfect timing.
More often than not the comedy or tragedy of a situation will be determined by our perspective.

I don’t read Harequin books. I just can’t get past the image of Fabio and his golden locks dreamily gazing at me and saying, “I can’t believe it’s not butter”. I also don’t watch Nascar. I don’t quite understand either of these markets, but it looks like these two kids are heading for a meaningful relationship.
In one book, our heroine, an ex-kindergarten teacher, falls in love with a Nascar driver after first being hit by his car and then driving his enormous motor coach from race to race. Catch me I’m swooning. Read more at the New York Times.

Wonder Woman is one of the most recognizable female icons in the world. For the third year in a row, the heroine brandishes her Amazon bracelets as a symbol for a charity benefit for Portland’s most protective domestic violence shelters - Raphael House and Bradley-Angle House - and the Portland Women’s Crisis Line. Portland’s Mayor, Tom Potter, has declared October 26th as “Wonder Woman Day” and is working with documentary director Andy Mangels, who is also the curator of the online Wonder Woman Museum, to set up the event.
I have donated some art along with over 180 artists from the comic book, newspaper comic strip, animation, and fine art worlds. Original art will be on display at Excalibur Comics and Comic Fusion until the event, and at the Wonder Woman Museum website. The Silent Auction will take place the day of the event. Bidders need not be present to win, however, their bid must be on the bid sheet. Details about PROXY bidding, to allow for off-site bids, will be on the website from October 14-27th.

Love it or hate it, the new T-moblie G1 phone is here. This phone is supposed to be the iPhone killer. T-mobile is claiming that they have pre-sold 1.5 million phone making it’s debut larger than the iPhones, but some people claim those numbers to be inflated. I personally like the idea of the phone and would gladly accept a free phone for review. Until that happens, you can go over to Gizmodo and read their review.

Flash 9 support for the PS3’s web browser is now available in the latest update. I’ll be testing this as soon as it’s done dowloading, but this means that HULU and other online video sites will now be available. Goodbye cable, hello internet TV!

Nikola Tesla’s early work pioneered modern electrical engineering. He is best known for many revolutionary contributions in the field of electricity and magnetism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
In 1899 Telsa had a major breakthrough when he transmitted 100 million volts of high-frequency electric power wirelessly over a distance of 26 miles at which he lit up a bank of 200 light bulbs and ran one electric motor! He did this with a souped up version of his Tesla coil.
A Tesla coil is a special transformer that can take the 110 volt electricity from your house and convert it rapidly to a great deal of high-voltage, high-frequency, low-amperage power. This big breakthrough was in 1899. I’m a little afraid of getting fried when ever I think about these Telsa Coils shooting electricity into the air. It just dosen’t seem all that safe to me. Maybe that’s why it’s taken so long to develop similar technology.
Fulton Innovation has released a video showing how they are working to make wireless power possible in the future. Now if they would start working on my jetpack!!
