Clone Wars Commentary

Writing by Spencer on Friday, 10 of October , 2008 at 12:15 pm

Just in case you forgot, the Clone Wars is on tonight.  Also, the full episodes are available to watch online or to download from iTunes.  We have weekly comics, then the episodes, we had a podcast, and now the commentary videos, I’m starting to fear that I may get over saturated with Star Wars.  Is that even possible?  :D

Live Video Reporting on the Internet

Writing by Spencer on Friday, 10 of October , 2008 at 10:51 am

Technology is AMAZING!  I just read that there is now live video streaming client for newer Blackberry phones.  You download the  Next2Friends client to your phone and use your camera to broadcast live events  for your family, friends or the entire Next2Friends community to watch in real-time!  This is not a new idea.  I’ve heard of another service called QIK that does the same thing.

Most of the video that is captured by these services is not very interesting at all, but it’s the possiblities that are so amazing.  I really wanted to get this service running on my phone for my trip to Star Wars Celebration Japan.  I imagined that I would be wandering around the event and see something amazing and I would just pull out my phone and capture a video.  The video is stored on the servers and available IMEDIATELY.  Pretty fancy.

Take On Me Literal Version

Writing by Spencer on Friday, 10 of October , 2008 at 8:51 am

I saw this video on Otis Frampton’s site Wednesday morning, and then I saw my friend Bonnie post about it Wednesday mid-day, then Blake the movie guy sent me an email about it so I MUST share it here.

I remember when this video by a-ha came out.  It was from the album Hunting High and Low released in 1985.  I REALLY wanted to be an artist and this video was magical.  The comic book pages came to life and we were able to peer into the pages and see thier world.  Watching this video reminded me how I felt when I saw it for the first time, and then listening to it I’m reminded about how CHEESEY things were way back when.  :D
