…that damned elusive Pimpernel!
When I was in College my friend Eldon introduced me to the Scarlet Pimpernel. I thought that the movie was fun and the character to be a sort of Batman/Zorro character type, but I didn’t become an overnight fan. Years later, I saw that the BBC had made a trilogy of Scarlet Pimpernel movies. I was looking for gift for my wife and I thought that the movies would be something that we could enjoy together. Boy was I right! They were Great! Lot’s of action and witty banter. Here’s a link to the movie.
It’s been quite some time since I’ve watched those movies, but over the last weekend we were watching Penelope. I kept looking at the main character’s father thinking that I recognized him. Then my wife figured it out. It was the PIMPERNEL, Richard E. Grant!
I highly reccomend this movie. The little girl in the movie is born different and spends all of her life looking for a way to break her curse. In the end, it turns out that the solution that she was looking for was right under her nose. 😀by
