Leland Chee, the Star Wars Franchise Continuity Cop
A friend of mine told me once that I was pretty talented, but if I wanted to really make it I should probably create my own content instead of making Star Wars stuff. Leland Chee has found a way to make a living through his love of Star Wars. There’s a great article about him on WIRED. Here’s a bit about what he does. “His official title is continuity database administrator for the Lucas Licensing arm of Lucasfilm—which means Chee keeps meticulous track of not just the six live-action movies but also cartoons, TV specials, scores of videogames and reference books, and hundreds of novels and comics.”
pretty cool stuff.
He spends most of his time updating the database.
I was on Yahoo and found your blog. Read a few of your other posts. Good work. I am looking forward to reading more from you in the future.
Tom Stanley
thanks Tom. I need to get some more of my own art back up there, but I’m glad to hear you like what you saw.
I think your friend is right on both counts . . . you ARE talented and you SHOULD cut your own creative path in the world.
-Otis
Thanks Otis. I’ve got a few ideas that I need to make into realities.
Your friend is an idiot!
You, my friend, should read what Otis said. My friend is right. :]
I saw it, I just wanted to through myself under the bus.
hehe, no worries, you’re still right.
