CAUTION: YOU HAVE BROTHERS!

I think that this photo says it all.

Today is the baby’s due date.  We don’t mind that she came early, really.  About 1 1/2 weeks ago at the doctor appointment my wife was told that there wasn’t much progress and that the baby wouldn’t be born till her due date or maybe not until October.  My poor wife was crushed!  She has been so uncomfortable and has been working so hard to prepare for the baby.  This was some bad news.

Well, the Sunday following that appointment she started having some major contractions.  They were timed close enough that she woke me up and told me to get ready to go.  We got ready, and she took a shower and they all stopped.  Again, she was crushed.

She went to the doctor on Monday and they told her the same thing as last time.  No real changes, the baby was on track for the due date and maybe even later.  CRUSHED!!!!

I noticed late Tuesday afternoon that she was  in a really good mood.  I asked her what was going on and she said with a grin, “I’m having contractions!”  Odd that so much pain and discomfort can make someone so happy.  We put the kids to bed at 8:00 PM, called over a friend, went to the hospital and the baby came just before midnight.  😀

Such cute pictures!!! Tell Jen I’m thinking of her. If she wants to send any children up here for a while, we’ll be happy to take them. =)

I’ve got a SIX PACK! Roy, you’re a genius. I love the way you made sure to say it wouldn’t be you watching after those kids. 😀

Thanks Clint. See at the wacky fun that you’ll be looking forward to with your boy?

I didn’t encourage them to make faces or smash their face against the glass, they did that all on their own. :]

That pic of your boys is too cute =). It even rivals one I have of my girls looking through the glass at their new (naked) baby brother…with VERY curious expressions. It never occured to me to tell them about boys before he was born…they were shocked, to say the least 😀

I followed this link from Sis Brinkerhoff (your sister’s) blog. What a hilarious picture! I absolutely love having Spencer Jr in my class. He always is so willing to help out when Im teaching a lesson by holding my sweet baby girl. Tell him thank you for being such a good kiddo. 🙂
Kylie is such a cutie! I cannot wait to meet her in the ward. Seems like everyone had baby girls this year. 🙂 Good luck with everything and thumbs up to you for taking care of those other 5 kids and bringing them all to church on your own. It never ceases to amaze me. 🙂

He really is great with kids. It’s like he can flip a switch and go from CRAZY to caring.
