Celebration Japan Sketch

Writing by Spencer on Wednesday, 14 of May , 2008 at 9:04 am

I’m working out my idea for my Celebration Japan sketch. I sent it in to Lucasfilm to get feedback on it. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be a big secret or not. I’m really excited about this first sketch.

*UPDATE*

Below is the image that I sent for feedback, and this is what I heard from them, “everything looks good. Proceed! Move along, move along.” I can imagine myself working at Lucasfilm and quoting Star Wars all day. sigh…. :D

note that the bartender, hammerhead, and snaggletooth are placeholder images that I grabbed off the web and will be re-creating in my own style for the final print.

Clone Wars Sketch

Writing by Spencer on Wednesday, 14 of May , 2008 at 8:56 am

In the spirit of improving my sketches, I decided to bring my sketchbook with me to my kids swim team practice. Here’s what I came up with.  I roughed in the character with a blue col-erase pencil, and then used ball-point pen to outline it.
