Google is making the future

First, Google is working with Seth MacFarlane the creator of the TV show the Family Guy will create an animated Web-based series. There will be 50 Webisodes, each two minutes in length.  Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy, will be distributed on Google-owned YouTube and be syndicated and distributed across the search giant’s content network to AdSense publisher sites.  More info here.

Second,  The Google Media Server is a gadget that allows users to send videos, music and photos from the Web to other media devices, such as television.   According to a Google blog post the beta version is available as a free download for users who have a PC that runs Google Desktop and a UPnP-enabled device, such as a PlayStation 3. The gadget provides access to Picasa Web Albums and favorite YouTube videos.
