The new update to the Force Unleashed video game has some very interesting playable characters. They may have gone too far by givng 3PO a lightsaber.

I think that everybody could use a little Zazzle in their lives. :D I have recently learned about an on-demand printing company called Zazzle. Anyone can sign up for an account and then upload designs an put them on different items in the same way that Cafepress does. I’ve decided to create an online store to offer a few t-shirts and posters etc. The Zazzle menu on the right will show a few items from my store. Click on the menu to see more.

I have watched Smallville since day 1. I used to set up TWO TVs and VCRs so that I could record Smallville and Roswell because they were on at the same time. I really enjoyed that first few seasons as Clark struggled with being an outsider, yeah, a Calvin Klein underwear model kinda outsider. I also really enjoyed the way that he was learning about his powers and then trying to cope with the knowledge that the destruction of his home-world and his ship coming to Earth had killed Lana’s parents.
So the long and short of it was that through some creative writing and special effects an old story has be re-imagined. I saw this video posted today and I thought it was the perfect example of how everything old is new again.

The Intercollegiate Quidditch Association recently held a competition at the sports REAL birthplace Middlebury College. (I say REAL because the Harry Potter books are fictional and this game is not, it’s only based on fiction so it’s like a type of fictious reality event.) There are currently over 150 colleges with Quidditch teams including Boston University, Vassar, Bucknell University, Tulane, Oberlin and Emerson College to name a few. The game itself is a mix of dodge ball and tag mixed in with the regular Quidditch rules. The IQA’s website includes team stats and player info, scores, standings and schedules. The thing that I think I was most impressed by is that they have a media section that includes photos and videos AND LIVE TV COVERAGE!!!
Through the magic of the internet, anyone can sign up on Ustream and the plug their camera into their laptop and then send a live broadcast across the inter-webs. Amazing. OH, and I LOVE the Golden Snitch.
