Star Wars Fan Film Movie Challenge has begun UPDATE!!

The Contest has begun, well sort-of.  I think.  I don’t completely understand the website yet.  They will award trophies in the categories of Action, Short Subject, Animation, Comedy, Fan Fiction, and the George Lucas Select Award.  So today, USERS can vote for the Final category of Audience Choice.  Voting ends at 11:59 pm PST on July 10th.

It would appear that Atom’s panel of judges makes a decision on the winners and then from July 1st-10th users can decide the audience choice award.  Atom sent me an email saying that they had seen my Star Wars cartoon and encouraged me to submit to the contest.  I went ahead and submitted the old one that they had seen, and then got right to work on a new one.  I really like the new one better, but it was rejected for fear of copyright infringement.

**UPDATE!** This from The Force.net, “There seems to be some confusion on how to vote. I know that I was confused. Apparently Firefox 3 users will not see the “Thumbs Up icon” and may be hitting thumbs down. STOP! Don’t do that. Open the URL in Internet Explorer or Firefox 2 and you should see both a thumbs up and thumbs down icon. Register or log in and vote. Once your vote is registered it does not appear that you can vote more than once. ”

So I currently have 26 views and 100% THUMBS DOWN rating!  YESS!!!
